Leaders of Savannakhet province (Laos) congratulate Nghe An province on Tet

A working delegation from Savannakhet province led by comrade Lam-thong Khopsy-ha-vong - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee visited and congratulated Nghe An province on the traditional New Year.

Nghe An province and Sa Van Na Khet province have a long-standing traditional relationship. Every year, the two provinces regularly establish delegations to visit and wish each other a Happy New Year, exchange information, and send congratulatory messages on holidays and important historical events of the two countries and the two provinces.

In particular, 2022 is the "Vietnam - Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year", in the context that the COVID-19 pandemic has been basically controlled, cooperation activities and delegation exchanges between Nghe An province and Savannakhet province have been implemented very actively, enthusiastically and effectively. Specifically, the two provinces have organized delegations to visit, work and celebrate Tet on the occasion of the traditional New Year of Vietnam and Laos; organized delegations to attend the 60th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations, 45th Anniversary of the Signing of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty organized by each province as well as exchanged congratulatory messages on major holidays and important events of the two nations.

Nghe An province always focuses on strengthening activities to support human resource training for Sa Van Na Khet province, reflected in the increasing number of Sa Van Na Khet students studying at universities and colleges in Nghe An province on scholarships. In the 2022-2023 school year, Nghe An province has received and is receiving and training a total of 29 cadres, students and pupils for Sa Van Na Khet province.

The cooperation activities between Nghe An province and Savannakhet province have not only promoted socio-economic development, maintained national defense, security, and social order and safety of each province, but also contributed to strengthening the solidarity and special friendship between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.

On the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year of Quy Mao 2023, the delegation of Sa Van Na Khet province sent the best wishes to the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province. At the same time, the comrades also believed that in the coming time, the two provinces will continue to exchange and share experiences, strengthen cooperation, and tighten the relationship to jointly perform their tasks well.

Expressing gratitude and acknowledging the sincere sentiments from the Party, government and people of Sa Van Na Khet province for Nghe An, Comrade Le Duc Cuong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, also sent his regards to the leaders and people of Sa Van Na Khet province; wishing the Party Committee, Government and People of Sa Van Na Khet province to continue to reap greater victories in the construction and development process.
