Provincial leaders visit Uncle Ho temple in Tra Vinh

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 3, a working delegation of the province led by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited Uncle Ho's temple in Tra Vinh province.

Accompanying the delegation were comrade Ho Mau Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture - Sports, leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches. Welcoming the delegation were comrade Ngo Chi Cuong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee, leaders of Tra Vinh provincial departments and branches.

Uncle Ho Temple in Vinh Hoi Hamlet, Long Duc Commune, Tra Vinh City is a historical-cultural relic site that has been recognized as a national historical-cultural relic since 1989. The temple is a sacred spiritual address of the people of Tra Vinh province, built by the Party Cell and revolutionary soldiers and people of Long Duc Commune to commemorate beloved Uncle Ho.

The temple was chosen by Tra Vinh as the symbol of the province, the heart of Long Duc people, Tra Vinh people as well as the people of the South for beloved Uncle Ho, becoming a red address to educate revolutionary traditions and study the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh of Tra Vinh province. Every year, the relic site attracts nearly 50 thousand domestic and foreign tourists and overseas Vietnamese to visit and pay respect to Uncle Ho.

With sincere thanks to the Party Committee, government and people of Tra Vinh province for their noble sentiments towards Uncle Ho and the people of Nghe An during the two resistance wars and in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son and the working delegation organized a ceremony to present a 15-ton Dai Lam Ngoc gemstone - a gift from the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province, contributing to the embellishment of the landscape at the temple of Uncle Ho, expressing the love and infinite gratitude of the people of Nghe An for Uncle Ho and further strengthening the solidarity between the Party Committee and people of the two provinces of Nghe An - Tra Vinh.
