Central and provincial leaders offer incense to commemorate comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 26, in Vinh City, leaders of the Central Government and Nghe An Province visited the Memorial House of Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the 110th anniversary of her birth (September 30, 1910 - September 30, 2020).
Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Thang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council and leaders of a number of central departments, ministries and branches.

In a solemn atmosphere, central and provincial leaders offered flowers and incense to express their respect and deep gratitude for the great contributions of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai.
His life and revolutionary career are a shining example of the will, indomitable fighting spirit, determination and mettle of a loyal and indomitable communist soldier, who devoted his whole life to the revolutionary cause of the Party for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai's real name is Nguyen Thi Vinh (due to the pronunciation of Nghe people, some documents record it as Nguyen Thi Vinh), born on September 30, 1910, in a small civil servant family in Vinh Yen commune, Vinh town (now Vinh city), Nghe An province.
She joined the revolutionary movement early and changed her name from Nguyen Thi Vinh to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai when she was 17 years old to keep it a secret. In early 1929, with the organization's consent, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai secretly left her family to join the revolution.

On February 3, 1930, the Communist Party of Vietnam was born. Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was admitted to the Party and was in charge of propaganda and training of Party members and workers in the Truong Thi and Ben Thuy areas. She organized many training courses for Party cadres and was the core force that fought fiercely in the Nghe-Tinh Soviet movement of 1930-1931.
In the summer of 1930, with the trust and recommendation of the Central Committee of the Central Region, comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was sent abroad and worked in the Eastern Branch Office of the Communist International. Here, comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was directly educated by comrade Nguyen Ai Quoc on the basic theories of Marxism-Leninism and secret operations experience.

In September 1934, comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was honored to be the first Vietnamese woman to be elected to the Party delegation to attend the 7th Congress of the Communist International in Moscow. By the end of 1937, she returned to work in Saigon and was elected to the Southern Regional Party Committee and Secretary of the Saigon - Cho Lon City Party Committee.
On July 30, 1940, the Party's base was exposed, comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was arrested by the French colonialists after attending a meeting of the Southern Regional Party Committee and sentenced to death. In August 1941, the French colonialists brought comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and a number of comrades to be executed. Under the enemy's gun, she died heroically at the age of 31.

On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, in Nghe An, on the morning of September 26, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, the Central Propaganda Department, and the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee jointly organized a scientific seminar: "Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai with the Vietnamese Revolution and her homeland Nghe An". The 110th anniversary of the birth of Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai will also be solemnly held by Nghe An province in the afternoon of the same day.
