Iran's Supreme Leader Warns Israel and US of 'Disastrous Consequences'
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei today (November 2) once again threatened Israel and the United States with dire consequences for their hostile actions against Iran.

"The enemy, whether it is the Jewish state or the United States, will surely receive a deadly response for what they are doing to Iran and the resistance front," Khamenei, 85, said at an event in Tehran, DW reported. The Iranian supreme leader did not elaborate on the timing or scale of Iran's response.
The “resistance front” appears to refer to an alliance of pro-Iranian Islamist militant groups, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah and the Palestinian Hamas.
Khamenei issued his harshest warning yet as Israel braced for possible retaliation for its airstrikes on Iran on October 26. Iranian officials had previously threatened to launch another attack on Israel after Tel Aviv targeted its military bases, the Times of Israel reported.
General Mohammad Ali Naini, a spokesman for Iran's Revolutionary Guards, which controls the ballistic missiles needed to target Israel, told the Fars news agency that Iran's response "will be wise, strong and beyond the enemy's understanding".
Experts say any attack from either side could plunge the Middle East into a larger conflict, as the region is already reeling from the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Israel's ground campaign in Lebanon.
