At the Lao Presidential Palace, at exactly 6:00 a.m. on September 26, in a solemn atmosphere, the Lao national flag was lowered to half mast according to the national funeral ceremony.

Previously, the Lao Prime Minister's Office issued Notice No. 1577/VPTTg to the heads of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, the Mayor of Vientiane and the Governors of provinces across the country, regarding the organization of a two-day national mourning in memory of Comrade Tran Dai Quang, Politburo member and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The announcement requires ministries, ministerial-level agencies, the capital Vientiane and provinces across Laos to fly flags at half-mast in front of their headquarters, starting from 6:00 a.m. on September 26 to 6:00 p.m. on September 27, and to stop all entertainment activities during this time nationwide.
