Four individuals have been prosecuted for creating 13 illegal land ownership certificates.
Taking advantage of their assigned positions and authority, four individuals violated regulations in the process of preparing 13 land use right certificate applications, causing losses to the State exceeding 3.8 billion VND.
On July 23, the Investigation Police Department of Nui Thanh District (Quang Nam) executed the decision.initiate criminal proceedings against the suspect.The arrest warrant was issued for the temporary detention of Tran Van Vu (born 1974, residing in Tam My Tay commune, Nui Thanh district), Deputy Director of the Agricultural Technical Center of Nui Thanh district, former Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam My Tay commune; Nguyen Quoc Tin (born 1984, residing in Tam Hiep commune, Nui Thanh district), land and construction official of Tam My Tay commune; Pham Truong An (born 1990, residing in Nui Thanh town, Nui Thanh district), employee of the Nui Thanh Branch of the Land Registration Office; and Chau Ngoc Lo (born 1962, residing in Tam My Tay commune), former Head of Trung Luong village, Tam My Tay commune, for the act of "Abusing position and power while performing official duties" as stipulated in Clause 3, Article 356 of the Penal Code.

The investigating agency also executed search warrants at Nguyen Quoc Tin's workplace at the Tam My Tay Commune People's Committee and at Pham Truong An's workplace at the Nui Thanh Branch of the Land Registration Office.
Based on the investigation results, it was determined that in 2019, the defendants abused their assigned positions and authority to act contrary to regulations in the process of preparing 13 land use right certificate applications, causing damage to the State of more than 3.8 billion VND.
The case is currently under further investigation by the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Nuoi Thanh District Police.
