Creating a website for 2,000 gamblers to bet on, generating 400 billion VND in revenue.

Through intelligence gathering and surveillance, the Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of the Ninh Binh Provincial Police, in coordination with functional units of the Department of Information and Communications, discovered several individuals involved in online gambling.

After a period of investigation, on January 9th, the Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department, in coordination with the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police and Department 4 of the Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Bureau, successfully dismantled and arrested the following individuals: Trinh Viet Linh, born in 1987, residing in Dong Son commune, Tam Diep city, Ninh Binh province; Dao Duy Hoang, born in 1988; Bui Tien Luong, born in 1984; Nguyen Xuan Loc, born in 1989; and Lo Van Luong, born in 2003, all residing in Khuong Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi.

Items seized.

During an urgent search of the suspects' residences in Khuong Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi, the police seized 5 laptops, 2 desktop computers, 10 mobile phones, over 300 SIM cards, and other tools and equipment used for gambling.

During initial questioning, the suspects confessed that: From August 2021, Trinh Viet Linh hired Dao Duy Hoang to create websites to organize gambling through the money transfer code of "Momo e-wallet," and also hired the remaining suspects to operate, manage, and maintain the gambling websites.

From December 2022 to early January 2023, approximately 2,000 individuals accessed these gambling websites, engaging in activities totaling over 400 billion VND.
