Timber truck overturned, two people injured in crushed cabin

While going downhill, the truck crashed into the roadside and flipped over, trapping the injured driver and co-driver in the cabin.

On the morning of November 18, a truck driven by Dau Van Hong (28 years old) while going through a steep, winding slope on Highway 217 through Trung Ha Commune (Quan Son District, Thanh Hoa) crashed into the roadside and flipped over, leaving its belly exposed on the side of the road.

The wood crushed the cabin, seriously injuring driver Hong and assistant driver Nguyen Van Thuyet (39 years old). It took a long time for locals to get the two victims out of the car and take them to the emergency room.

At the scene, wood was scattered everywhere, many signal posts and telecommunication cable towers were broken.

Quan Son district police are investigating the cause of the accident.
