Tourist bus carrying group to class reunion overturned, 13 people died
A tourist bus carrying 39 people plunged into a ditch on the Ho Chi Minh Highway in Quang Binh province. At least 13 people died and many others were injured.
On the morning of July 26, a passenger bus traveling to Tra Ang bridge, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province suddenly overturned and fell into a ditch on the side of the road. The ditch was about 2 meters deep.

Mr. Tran Quang Vu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bo Trach district (Quang Binh) said that the car involved in the accident was a group of former students going to a class reunion and visiting the 8-girl cave relic.
At 1:00 p.m. on July 26, the death toll was 9, of which 7 people died on the spot, the number of injured people is still unknown.
After the incident, leaders of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province went to the scene to direct the functional forces of the province and Bo Trach district and local people to organize rescue, overcome the consequences and regulate traffic.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee, requested the leaders of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant agencies to mobilize maximum forces and people to focus on rescue and relief efforts with the highest effort to minimize human losses.
At 2:50 p.m., a representative of the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province said that the number of deaths was 13, including 4 deaths at the hospital, 9 deaths at the scene and on the way to the emergency room.
The Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi is continuing to treat 23 patients. "Currently, there are 4 patients with a serious prognosis and are unlikely to survive," he added.
