Passenger bus overturned in Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh: 1 victim is from Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - Among the victims taken to the emergency room at Hospital 115 (Nghe An), one case was identified as being from Long Thanh, Yen Thanh.

At around 11am this morning (April 12), Hospital 115 (Nghe An) received 7 emergency cases of victims of a serious passenger bus rollover on National Highway 1A, Xuan Linh commune, Nghi Xuan (Ha Tinh).

Information from the hospital at 12:30 said that there was one death. Most of the victims were hospitalized with multiple injuries. One female victim suffered severe multiple injuries and facial deformity and is currently in critical condition.

An emergency doctor at Hospital 115 said the deceased victim was identified as Tang Van Toan. The victim’s body was taken to the scene of the accident in Ha Tinh for police to work on and identify.

The identities of the remaining victims are being clarified. There is one case of a Nghe An man named Phan Van Toan, from Long Thanh, Yen Thanh, who got on the bus in Nha Trang. Toan suffered multiple injuries and is being treated at the 115 hospital.

The accident occurred at around 10:30 am the same day when another car with license plate 17B-00702 was traveling from the South to the North at high speed, passing two trucks and suddenly lost control and crashed into the embankment. Dozens of passengers were on board at the time the car overturned. Some escaped, some were taken to the emergency room, the rest were trapped inside.
