Pentagon ready to deploy troops on border with Mexico
The US military has begun moving barriers to the country's southern border as part of plans to deploy units in the region, US Defense Secretary James Mattis announced.

According to the head of the US Department of Defense, the details of this process, as well as the number of servicemen involved in the operation, are being clarified.
"You will not be allowed in. There is an established procedure for entry into our country," US Homeland Security Secretary Kirsten Nielsen said on Fox News on Sunday.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that the caravan included criminals and unidentified residents from the Middle East and warned border guards and the military that this was a nationwide emergency. Mexico rejected the White House head's words about the presence of terrorists or representatives of organized crime in the caravan.
