With an average age of only 21-22, HAGL has the youngest squad in the club’s history. This is the reason why the team from the mountain town has received praise and impression from the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF).

Throughout the 2015 season until now, HAGL has continuously maintained a policy of rejuvenating its force by regularly using the "young shoots" who have grown up from the HAGL - JMG Academy and the Talent team. What is special is that after each season, the average age of the Mountain City team gets younger. Even in the 2018 season, HAGL introduced a record-breaking young squad in the history of this club.

Accordingly, all HAGL players participating in the 2018 season are only between 19 and 24 years old. The oldest player currently in the HAGL squad is goalkeeper Pham Van Tien (24 years old). The youngest player of HAGL according to the registration list is striker Dinh Thanh Binh (19 years old). That is not to mention the head coach and assistant coach duo: Mr. Duong Minh Ninh and Nguyen Van Dan are only 43 and 44 years old respectively.
