Ceremony to announce the head coach of Vietnam National Team and U23 National Team
This morning (May 10) in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced the head coach of the National Men's and U23 Football Teams. Accordingly, Mr. Toshiya Miura will lead the two teams from 2014 to 2016.

Attending the ceremony were VFF President Le Hung Dung, Vice Presidents Tran Quoc Tuan and Nguyen Xuan Gu, VFF General Secretary Le Hoai Anh, and Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation President Tran Anh Tu. Editor-in-Chief of Football Newspaper Nguyen Van Phu also attended the ceremony.
At the announcement ceremony, VFF Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan said: “With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, and based on the activities and goals of Vietnamese football in the coming period, in the past time, the Vietnam Football Federation has actively implemented preparations to ensure the best conditions for the national team to participate in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 and build a roadmap for the Olympic team towards the U22 Asian qualifiers and the 28th SEA Games.
After working with the coaching candidates evaluated and introduced by the National Coaching Council, the Vietnam Football Federation officially met and worked directly with Mr. Toshiya Miura (Japanese nationality). And today, the Vietnam Football Federation would like to announce that Mr. Toshiya Miura will become the head coach of the Vietnam National Team and the National Olympic Team from 2014 to 2016.

ABOUT COACH TOSHIYA MIURA
- Date of birth: July 16, 1963
- 1973-1986: Studying and playing football.
- 1986-1987: Studied at Faculty of Medicine and Physical Education - Iwate University.
- 1992-1996: Studied at Cologne University of Physical Education and Sports, majoring in coaching.
Training Experience
- 1997: Assistant Coach/Head Coach (from November) Brumell Senda Club (J-League 2).
- 1998: Head coach of Mito Holly Hock Club (J-League 2).
- 1999: Assistant coach at Omiya Ardija Club (J-League 2).
- 2000-2001: Head coach of Omiya Ardija Club (J-League 2).
- 2004-2006: Head coach of Omiya Ardija Club (J-League 2).
- 2007-2008: Head coach of Consadole Sapporo Club (J-League 2).
- 2009-2010: Head coach of Vissel Kobe Club (J-League 1).
