Ceremony to announce Do Luong district meets new rural standards
On the morning of December 28, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of Do Luong district solemnly held a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's Decision recognizing the district as meeting new rural standards in 2022.
Attending the ceremony, Central delegates included comrades: Le Quang Huy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Science, Technology and Environment; Hoang Minh Hieu - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee for Law; Phuong Dinh Anh - Deputy Chief of the Central Office for New Rural Areas.
On the provincial side, there were comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ho Le Ngoc - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Ngoc Kim Nam - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee.
Members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with leaders of departments, branches; Do Luong district officials through the periods; leaders of districts, cities, towns and a large number of people of the district.

Presenting a report on the process of building the district to meet new rural standards, Chairman of the People's Committee of Do Luong district, Hoang Van Hiep, stated: Do Luong is a land of culture, has an important strategic position, and a long and glorious history. In the process of building new rural areas, the drastic participation of Party committees and authorities from district to grassroots levels, especially the consensus of the people in the district, has created favorable conditions for the district to invest in infrastructure, promote socio-economic development, and improve the quality of people's lives.

By the end of 2021, 32/32 communes had met the new rural standards. Accordingly, the district has directed localities to continuously improve the criteria, aiming for advanced new rural communes, according to the contents of the set of criteria for new rural communes/advanced new rural communes issued by the Prime Minister for the period 2021-2025. By the end of 2022, 5/32 communes had met the advanced new rural standards (15.626%). By the end of 2024, 9/32 communes had met the advanced new rural standards (28.125%).
From the results achieved in implementing 9/9 criteria of new rural districts, Do Luong district was recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2022 in Decision No. 1370/QD-TTg, dated November 15, 2023 of the Prime Minister.

Up to now, Do Luong district has a new, spacious and modern appearance with rapid urbanization; stable economic growth, diverse types of services and trade, attracting many units and enterprises to invest in the area, contributing to job creation and increasing budget revenue.

The average growth rate of gross domestic product in the area over the past 10 years has always been quite high, with an average growth rate of 10.16% in the 2010-2015 period; an average growth rate of 12.53% in the 2016-2020 period. By 2024, the economic structure will shift in the right direction; the annual budget revenue in 2024 will reach more than 1 trillion VND; the employment rate of trained workers will reach 77.29%; the employment rate of trained workers will reach 80.25%. The multidimensional poverty rate in 2022 will be 4.64%, and by 2024 it will be 1.23%; the average income by 2024 will reach 81.54 million VND/person/year.

In the period of 2011-2022, Do Luong district mobilized investment resources for new rural construction of more than 5,513 billion VND. Of which: State budget, more than 2 trillion VND, accounting for 36.88%; Credit loan capital of nearly 2 trillion VND, accounting for 35.8%; Enterprise support capital: 252,374 million VND, accounting for 4.57%. People's contributed capital is more than 1,253 billion VND, accounting for 22.74%.
Continue to improve the quality of criteria
Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee congratulated and praised the achievements and results that the Party Committee, government and people of Do Luong district have strived and achieved in building new rural areas in recent times.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that receiving the Prime Minister's Decision to recognize the achievement of new rural standards is an honor and pride, but also a great responsibility of the Party Committee, government and people of Do Luong district.

To maintain the achieved results in the coming time, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De requested the Party Committee, government and people of Do Luong district to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the goals, tasks and solutions in Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU dated May 19, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on building and developing Do Luong district to 2030, with a vision to 2045, focusing on implementing well a number of contents:
