(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of June 29th, at Quynh Thien ward, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to announce Resolution No. 47/NQ-CP adjusting the administrative boundaries of Quynh Luu district to establish Hoang Mai town.

Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Phan Trung Ly - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Law Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duy Thang - Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Interior; and representatives from several central ministries, departments, and agencies. On the provincial leadership side were: Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, districts, and towns; former leaders of Quynh Luu district; and a large number of people from Hoang Mai town.

At the ceremony, leaders of the Ministry of Interior announced Resolution No. 47/NQ-CP on adjusting the administrative boundaries of Quynh Luu district to establish Hoang Mai town. Accordingly, Hoang Mai town has a natural area of ​​16,974.88 hectares with 105,105 inhabitants, and has 10 subordinate units including 5 wards (Quynh Thien, Quynh Di, Mai Hung, Quynh Phuong and Quynh Xuan wards) and 5 communes (Quynh Vinh, Quynh Loc, Quynh Lap, Quynh Lien and Quynh Trang).

The leader of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department announced the decision to establish the Hoang Mai Town Party Committee; subsequently, the leader of the Department of Internal Affairs announced the Provincial People's Committee's decision to establish the Provisional Committee of Hoang Mai Town.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leadership, Comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - emphasized in his speech: Hoang Mai has an important position, located within the South Thanh Hoa - North Nghe An regional planning area as planned by the Government, and is one of the three growth poles of Nghe An province. It has great potential for industrial, commercial, and tourism development, and possesses many mineral resources with large reserves. Three industrial zones are being developed here, attracting many large investment projects, and it is also a key hub for many important road and waterway transportation routes. The establishment of Hoang Mai Town is a favorable condition for Hoang Mai to break through and become a dynamic economic zone and key development area in the North of the province, contributing positively to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks.

Therefore, Hoang Mai needs to focus on stabilizing the administrative apparatus from the town level down to the wards and communes; implementing overall planning and urban planning; investing in the construction of essential infrastructure for the operation of the administrative apparatus and public works… The province will direct departments and agencies, based on their functions and responsibilities, to support and assist Hoang Mai and concentrate some resources to provide initial support to the town…

Also at the ceremony, Comrade Doan Hong Vu - Secretary of the Town Party Committee, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Hoang Mai Town, pledged to resolutely work with the Party Committee to lead the town in stabilizing and developing it quickly to become a dynamic economic region, developing industry, services and tourism in the northern part of the province.
