The 77th death anniversary ceremony in memory of patriot Phan Boi Chau

(Baonghean.vn) - At noon on November 17 (September 29, Dinh Dau year), the Monuments Committee, Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Nam Dan district to organize the 77th death anniversary of patriot Phan Boi Chau.

The death anniversary was held solemnly and respectfully according to traditional rituals of the nation at Phan Boi Chau Memorial House in Nam Dan Town, Nghe An.

Attending the memorial service were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission; Ho Phuc Hop - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Commission; Ho Mau Thanh -Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa -Principal of Provincial Political School.

On the side of Nam Dan district, there were leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches and organizations; officials of the Relic Management Board, Phan family and a large number of people respectfully commemorated, offered incense and fresh flower baskets to express their gratitude to the revolutionary predecessor, great thinker and culturalist of the nation.

Although the Dong Du movement initiated by Phan Boi Chau with the spirit of "same continent, same race, same culture" was not successful, his steadfast heart and revolutionary activities in the early 20th century still exist, a precious historical treasure to educate revolutionary traditions for generations.
