The Temple Festival of Thai Pho Tan Quoc Cong Nguyen Canh Hoan was recognized by the State as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Nguyen Canh family has more than 600 years of history, from Dong Trieu (Quang Ninh) to settling in Nghe An.
With 25 generations of children and grandchildren, the Nguyen Canh family not only contributed to building the foundation but also produced famous generals, celebrities, cultural figures, and talented physicians, making meaningful contributions to the nation's history with the tradition of "Loyalty, humanity and justice - Protecting the country and protecting the people”.

To commemorate the ancestors, to arouse pride and self-esteem and to preserve the good cultural values of the family, since 1604, every 10 years, on the 15th day of the third lunar month, the descendants of the Nguyen Canh family and the people in the area gather at the Temple of Thai Pho Tan Quoc Cong Nguyen Canh Hoan in Trang Son commune, Do Luong district, Nghe An province to organize the traditional festival "Vegetarian Festival" or also known as "Decade of Regrets". Organized on a large scale, the festival has many unique cultural and folk belief activities.

2024,The Temple Festival of Thai Pho Tan Quoc Cong Nguyen Canh Hoan was recognized by the State as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.. The Nguyen Canh Family Council of Vietnam coordinated with local authorities to organize the Festival to worship the Grand Tutor of Tan Quoc Cong Nguyen Canh Hoan and announce the Decision on National Intangible Cultural Heritage. The Ten Years of Le Festival was held with many meaningful cultural activities, crystallizing from long-standing historical traditions. The festival not only carries spiritual values, awareness of the origin, remembering the merits of previous generations, but also contributes to preserving and promoting the cultural values of the family, which is the source of forming local culture and national culture.

As planned, the festival will take place for 3 days, starting from April 21, 2024 to April 23, 2024 (March 13 to 15, year of the Dragon). Content includes: ancient ceremony, new ceremony; Festival part: Poetry night program "Nguyen Canh Thi Tap" (March 13th night of the year of the Dragon) and the art program "Forever traditional songs"(March 14th night of the year of the Dragon);Sports activities: Organizing women's volleyball tournaments, men's tug of war. Men's volleyball, women's volleyball, men's soccer exchanges, performing Tai Chi and martial arts.
