Tran Temple Festival 2013: Will prepare 500,000 seals
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoat, Head of the Management Board of the Tran Temple - Thap Pagoda Historical and Cultural Relic Site (Nam Dinh) said that in the Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival on the occasion of Spring Quy Ty 2013, the Organizing Committee plans to prepare 500,000 seals, double the number of seals in 2012, to meet the needs of the people and visitors.
On the morning of January 25, at a working session with the delegation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, led by Deputy Minister Ho Anh Tuan in Nam Dinh, Mr. Hoat added that this year the seal opening festival will continue to be implemented according to the project that was first developed and implemented in 2012, with 4 contents.

Accordingly, the festival is held for 3 days, January 14, 15, 16 of the Lunar calendar, focusing on the Seal Opening Ceremony at the hour of Ty on the night of January 14 and early morning of January 15; the Seal Distribution Ceremony is held from 7:00 a.m. on January 15 of the Lunar calendar and lasts until the end of the month; a unified type of seal paper is issued; the incense offering ceremony is performed before the seal procession ceremony.
The outstanding result of the organization of the 2012 opening ceremony was to spread out the number of visitors to attend on the following days, helping to reduce the number of people overcrowding at the time of the opening ceremony, creating favorable conditions for ensuring security and order.
The Tran Temple Seal Opening Festival is held at the beginning of the New Year every year, an ancient custom at the Tran Dynasty's Tien Mieu (formerly Tuc Mac village) with the great humanistic meaning of praying for world peace and prosperity, for all families to enjoy the Tran Temple Seal "Tich Phuc Vo Cuong"; for everyone to enter the new year healthy, work and produce enthusiastically, study and work well.
The festival also aims to preserve and promote cultural values, educate the tradition of patriotism against foreign invaders of our ancestors, especially during the Tran Dynasty, to attract and promote the cultural beauty of Nam Dinh homeland to domestic and international tourists./.
