The Dien Hue Nam Festival attracts tens of thousands of attendees.
On August 14th (the 8th day of the 7th lunar month), Thua Thien-Hue province organized the Dien Hue Nam Festival (also known as the Dien Hon Chen Festival) in Huong Tho commune, Huong Tra town, attracting tens of thousands of people from all over the country.

The Dien Hue Nam Festival, revived according to traditional customs rich in local folk culture, embodies spiritual culture, emphasizes filial piety and moral conduct, and is held annually in the third and seventh lunar months at the temple located on Ngoc Tran mountain on the banks of the Perfume River, where Thien YA Na Thanh Mau is worshipped.
The festival begins with a procession of the Holy Mother from Hue Nam Temple to Hai Cat village communal house on boats joined together to form rafts; accompanied by the Holy Mother's palanquin and the royal decree chest, along with ceremonial objects such as parasols, banners, fans, a team of spirit mediums, servants, and pilgrims.
Following that, there was a procession to welcome the Holy Mother (from Hai Cat village temple) back to the shrine, and then the release of animals and lanterns took place, lively with the music of the folk singing troupe and the traditional eight-instrument ensemble.
This year's Hue Nam Temple Festival in July will take place continuously for three days, from August 14-16.
