On August 13, the Ministry of Education and Training sent a document to the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities requesting coordination in directing the organization of the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education.
According to this document, implementing the 2025 Work Plan and with the consent of the Party and State leaders, the Ministry of Education and Training organized the 80th Anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) and the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year on the morning of September 5, 2025 at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), broadcast live on VTV1 channel of Vietnam Television and connected online to educational and training institutions nationwide.
In order to successfully organize the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 - 2026 school year in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education, creating a widespread influence throughout society, the Ministry of Education and Training requests that the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities pay attention to directing the Department of Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and agencies to implement the following contents:
Direct educational and training institutions in the area to organize the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 - 2026 school year at the same time as the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) and the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 - 2026 school year at the National Convention Center (from 8:00 to 9:30 on September 5, 2025) according to Plan No. 1153/KH-BGDDT dated August 8, 2025 of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Arrange and prepare adequate transmission lines and equipment for online connection or via VTV1 television channel at all educational and training facilities in the area; coordinate with local telecommunications and television units to ensure stable signals, good image and sound quality (the Ministry of Education and Training will issue a written notice on online connection lines).
The school's planned activities (if any) are organized concisely and end before 8:00 a.m. From 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., all delegates, teachers, and students fully participate in the program organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (including performing the flag-raising ceremony, singing the National Anthem at the same time as the flag-raising ceremony at the National Convention Center; listening to the speech of General Secretary To Lam, etc.).
Have appropriate response plans for weather conditions; ensure traffic safety, security and order, and fire prevention during the ceremony.
Strengthen communication about the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education (now the Ministry of Education and Training) and the opening of the 2025-2026 school year on local mass media; encourage educational and training institutions to proactively implement appropriate forms of communication, creating a widespread effect throughout the industry.
The Ministry of Education and Training requests that the People's Committees of provinces and cities pay attention to coordinating and directing the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year, associated with the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education, to be organized solemnly, safely, practically and effectively.
On the same day, the Ministry of Education and Training also sent a document to universities and vocational training institutions on organizing the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Ministry of National Education with the above request.
