Ceremony for the Consecration and Installation of the Truong Bon Monument

(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of July 14th, at the Truông Bồn Historical Site (Mỹ Sơn commune, Đô Lương district), the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Nghe An province, in coordination with the Department of Transport, organized an event.Memorial service for 13 heroic martyrs.Youth Volunteers, Company 317, Nghe An Youth Volunteer Brigade and KTwo Quang An statues were placed in the Truong Bon monument complex.Praying for peace in the country and well-being in every home.

Attending the ceremony were: Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Transport. Representing the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha were Venerable Thich Thanh Dam - Standing Member of the Council of Elders, Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha; Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Standing Member of the Central Executive Council, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province, along with a large number of people, relatives of martyrs' families in Nghe An province and other provinces and cities, and Buddhists from all over.

With rituals and procedures deeply rooted in the traditional culture of the Vietnamese people, the Memorial Service for the Heroes and Martyrs was held solemnly, expressing profound gratitude, respect, and appreciation for the immense contributions of the heroes and martyrs in the cause of national defense; at the same time, it educated and promoted the tradition of "Drinking water, remembering the source" and "Repaying gratitude" for the younger generations.

Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Nghe An province, delivered a speech commemorating the heroic martyrs.

Following the memorial service was the consecration and installation ceremony for the Truông Bồn monument complex. The Truông Bồn monument is an important component of the Truông Bồn Historical Site complex, symbolizing unwavering revolutionary spirit and fervent patriotism.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - affirmed: The Memorial Service and the consecration of the Truong Bon monument cluster at the Truong Bon Historical Relic Site express the gratitude of present generations for the heroic sacrifice of the 13 martyrs who died at the Truong Bon battlefield in particular, and for all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and reunification in general. Their heroic sacrifice has been etched into the golden history of the nation, enriching the indomitable and resilient tradition of the people of Nghe An.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Vietnam Buddhist Association and leaders of Nghe An province jointly pulled the bright red ribbon across the Truong Bon monument complex, officially inaugurating the monument in the presence of a large crowd of people.
