A heartwarming housewarming party in Nhon Mai, the epicenter of the floods (Nghe An province).
On the afternoon of September 16th, two families whose homes were destroyed by flash floods in the border villages of Nhon Mai (Nghe An province) held a rather special housewarming ceremony. Local authorities and armed forces attended, presented gifts, and handed over the houses to the residents.
These are the households of Ms. Lo Thi Hieu, born in 1960, in Na Hy village, and Ms. Moong Thi Lan in Tham Tham village. Both families are in particularly difficult circumstances.

During the flash floods at the end of May 2025, the homes of Ms. Lo Thi Hieu and Ms. Moong Thi Lan were severely affected and rendered uninhabitable. Faced with the difficulties of the people, authorities at all levels joined hands to provide support and called for donations to rebuild houses for these families.

To assist the households in building their houses, Comrade Lu Ngoc Tinh - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee - directly supervised the construction. By September 16, 2025, the houses were completed and handed over to the two families, with a total cost of 120 million VND per house.

The remaining amount came from funds and other fundraising efforts by Nhon Mai commune officials.

At the inauguration ceremony, representatives from the Party Committee, local government of Nhon Mai commune, and Nhon Mai Border Guard Post presented gifts to the families, including refrigerators, solar-powered lights, rice, and other necessities.
