Le Thi Thuy Linh – The top-scoring student with a dream of becoming a university lecturer.

(Baonghean.vn) - Born into a family with a tradition of teaching, Le Thi Thuy Linh also aspired to continue her family's legacy. She was the valedictorian of the National Economics University with a total score of 27, becoming the highest-scoring valedictorian in the D1 group nationwide.

Growing up in a family where everyone is a teacher, Thùy Linh wanted to continue the family tradition. Before the 2014 university entrance exam, Linh confidently registered for two subjects: A1 for the University of Education and D1 for the National Economics University, majoring in Accounting and Auditing. While Thùy Linh didn't perform as well as she expected in the A1 exam, scoring around 22 points, she did quite well in the D1 exam. Immediately after finishing the D1 exam, Thùy Linh confidently thought she could pass, but unexpectedly achieved the top score with a total of 26.75 points (Mathematics: 9.25; Literature: 8; English: 9.5), rounded to 27. At this point, Linh is the candidate with the highest score in the D1 subject group nationwide.

Speaking about her choice of Accounting and Auditing at the National Economics University, one of the most popular majors with very high entrance scores, Thuy Linh said: "Initially, it was a suggestion from my parents, but then I wanted the opportunity to prove my abilities at a university I've loved for so many years."

Speaking about her secret to achieving high scores, Thùy Linh said that besides English, her specialized subject at school, which she and her classmates spent a lot of time studying, she often divided math problems into different types to practice. “Each type of math problem has many different questions and difficult solutions, so mastering the problem-solving methods is crucial. For Literature, besides studying literature, I also regularly practiced exam questions and researched current events in the country to make connections to my work. Besides that, I didn't stress too much during exam preparation and managed my time for sleep and leisure appropriately,” the top-scoring student shared.

Notably, Thùy Linh is a classmate of Thảo Trang, the top student in the D1 group at the Hanoi Foreign Trade University. Currently, Linh and Trang's specialized English class is awaiting more top and second-highest-scoring students. Ms. Lê Thị Mỹ Duyên, Thùy Linh's homeroom teacher, said that Linh is a student with consistently high academic performance and excels in English. In the mock university entrance exam organized by Phan Bội Châu Specialized High School, Linh also achieved the top score in the entire school. "Linh is a well-behaved, gentle, mature, lovely, and dedicated student. Her personality is very suitable to become an excellent teacher," Ms. Mỹ Duyên affirmed.

Speaking about her plans, Le Thi Thuy Linh said: "After becoming a student in my favorite major and at the university, I will try my best to study well and hope to become a university lecturer to continue the family tradition."
