Asia's most prestigious music awards ceremony held in Vietnam for the first time

The organizers of Asia's most prestigious music awards ceremony - Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) - confirmed that the event will be held in Vietnam for the first time on November 25.

Established in 1999, MAMA Week is organized annually by CJ E&M Media and Entertainment Company. MAMA 2017 has an innovation when it decided to organize in many countries for many days.

According to the organizers, this change aims to connect music lovers with famous music artists, contributing to the development of the Asian music industry.

This year, MAMA Week in Vietnam will take place at the Hoa Binh Theater on November 25.

Responding to the decision to choose a theater as the venue for MAMA 2017, not a stadium with a large capacity like in Japan and Hong Kong, the representative of the organizing committee said: "Initially, we also planned to rent a location in Military Region 7 with a larger capacity, but at that time they already had an event. We also consulted a number of places, but the stage was not safe for the actors."
