The 7th National Journalism Awards Ceremony - 2012
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of June 21st, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace in Hanoi, the National Press Award Council solemnly held the 7th National Press Award Ceremony - 2012.
Attending the awards ceremony were members of the Politburo: Nguyen Tan Dung - Prime Minister; Dinh The Huynh - Head of the Central Propaganda Department; members of the Central Committee of the Party: Uong Chu Luu - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Nguyen Bac Son - Minister of Information and Communications; Thuan Huu, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper; representatives of leaders of central ministries, departments and agencies and leaders of press agencies, and journalists whose works won the National Journalism Awards in 2012.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the National Press Award Council, journalist Thuan Huu - President of the Vietnam Journalists Association - highly appreciated the quality of the entries in the 2012 Press Award. Generally, the entries were of consistent quality, with rich topics and diverse content; narrowing the gap between central and local press. Major political issues of the country in 2012 were all reflected in the entries.
Comrade Nguyen Bac Son - Minister of Information and Communications - presented the B Prize (no first prize awarded) to author Huu Nghia - reporter of Nghe An Newspaper.
Journalists who won the 2013 National Journalism Awards
The Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 5 authors who won A prizes, 28 who won B prizes, 45 who won C prizes, and 39 who won Consolation prizes."Meeting my benefactor again"Journalist Huu Nghia - a reporter from Nghe An Newspaper - won first prize in the first "Golden Moment" photojournalism contest of Nghe An Newspaper in 2012, and was once again honored with the 7th National B Prize (no first prize awarded), affirming the effectiveness of investing in improving the quality of photojournalism at Nghe An Newspaper in recent times.
