Representatives of US government agencies, organizations and diplomatic missions in Washington DC came to pay their respects and sign the condolence book.

On October 4-5, the Vietnamese Embassy in the United States solemnly held a memorial service and opened a condolence book for Comrade Do Muoi, former General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, former Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, former Advisor to the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc, on behalf of all staff of the Embassy and other representative agencies, was moved and respectfully read the memorial words of former General Secretary Do Muoi, who made great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation as well as to the cause of Renovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland in general and the diplomatic sector in particular.

With infinite sorrow, Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc affirmed that the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in the US will always remember and learn from the simple, devoted and wholehearted example of former General Secretary Do Muoi for the country and the people.

Representatives of US government agencies, organizations and diplomatic missions in Washington DC visited and signed the condolence book for former General Secretary Do Muoi, including:Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Patricia Mahoney; Ambassadors of ASEAN countries, China, Cuba..., representatives of the Embassies of Russia, Australia and many other countries; leaders of businesses, non-governmental organizations, research institutes and a large number of Vietnamese people living, studying and working in Washington, DC.

On October 5-6, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Netherlands solemnly held a memorial service and opened the condolence book for former General Secretary Do Muoi to welcome Ambassadors, diplomatic representatives of countries, ministries, sectors, Dutch social organizations, overseas Vietnamese community and international friends to pay their respects and sign the condolence book.

Previously, at the memorial service for former General Secretary Do Muoi on the afternoon of October 4, at the Embassy headquarters, all officials and staff of the Embassy and representatives of the overseas Vietnamese community in the Netherlands observed a minute of silence and burned incense in memory of former General Secretary Do Muoi.

On behalf of the Embassy, ​​Ambassador Ngo Thi Hoa was moved to highlight the great contributions of the former General Secretary in 80 years of serving the Party and the country, affirming that the life of the former General Secretary is a shining example for compatriots, comrades, cadres and soldiers nationwide to respect, learn from and follow.
