Lee Nguyen receives effusive praise after 'historic night'.

The MLS homepage featured an article praising the Vietnamese-American midfielder for his significant contribution to New England Revolution's 3-0 victory over Orlando City.

On September 5th, Lee Nguyen played a major role in all three of New England Revolution's goals. He assisted two goals and provided a crucial pass that led to the third. Thanks to this, The Revs defeated Orlando City, the team of former star Kaka (Kaka did not play in this match due to national team duty).

The MLS homepage featured an article praising the 29-year-old midfielder, with the headline: "Lee Nguyen's historic night helps New England Revolution move forward." The Vietnamese-American player was credited with three assists in the game, becoming the first New England Revolution player to achieve this in the club's history.

"Lee is a fantastic player," said his teammate Fagundez. "There's nothing better than playing alongside him. You know when to pass and when to receive the ball from him. Lee is a playmaker and that's everything you want to see from him."

Besides his three crucial assists, the former V-League player was also a key figure in New England Revolution's attacking play. Most of Revs' dangerous attacking moves went through him.

Journalist Craig Forde, in his article on MLS, described: "From the lob that led to the first goal to the backheel assist for the third, Nguyen showed masterful ability, controlling not only the midfield but also both wings."

New England Revolution is currently on a six-match unbeaten streak. Coincidentally, the club's good form also began with Lee Nguyen's impressive run of form. In his last seven games, Lee has scored three goals and provided five assists.

"Everything has been going according to plan, hitting peak form at the right time," Lee shared. "My mood is great, and my fitness has improved."

Coach Jay Heaps commented on his player: "He played well tonight, clearly with three assists. I won't deny that. But I have to say there are games where Lee doesn't score or assist and still plays better than today. I don't look at those statistics, but at his ability to influence the game."

The MLS has a total of 34 rounds. New England Revolution has played 27 games, placing them fourth in the Eastern Conference. The Revs are four points behind leaders DC Utd but have played one fewer game.

American fans hope Lee Nguyen can bring this form to the national team, provided coach Jurgen Klinsmann trusts him. Lee has only played about 45 minutes in the three games he's called up to the US national team.
