Goals: Lanzini (20'), Ayew (63') - Mahrez (5'), Huth (7'), Vardy (38').

Leicester couldn't have started better, scoring twice in just seven minutes. Ryad Mahrez opened the scoring with a cross into the box that sent West Ham's goalkeeper Randolph flying. Robert Huth doubled the lead with a header from Marc Albrighton's flicked pass.

West Ham pulled one back from a fine Lanzini free-kick but Vardy kept Leicester's lead at two before half-time, the England striker finishing quickly in a chaotic situation in front of the home goal.

There were four goals in the first half but the second half saw only one goal from Andre Ayew for West Ham. Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel maintained his impressive form with some fantastic saves, ensuring three points for Leicester.

Leicester are stuck in 15th place with 30 points but are six points clear of the relegation zone. The team has also maintained excellent form with four consecutive wins, including three in the Premier League.

Leicester's spirits are high after their comeback against Sevilla in the Champions League round of 16. Coach Shakespeare's team became the only representative of the Premier League to reach the quarter-finals of Europe's most prestigious tournament this season.

Returning to the Premier League, Leicester need to complete their relegation target soon to focus on the match against Atletico in mid-April. With their current form, Leicester can completely complete this goal. Leicester's next opponents before meeting Atletico are Stoke, Sunderland and Everton.

Leicester’s performance under Shakespeare reminded everyone of how they won the title last season. Leicester played fast and exploited every opportunity to score, making opponents pay for mistakes as soon as they made them. What happened in the first half showed that.

The second half was difficult for the visitors but Leicester had Schmeichel. After shining in midweek with some brilliant saves against Sevilla, including a penalty, the Danish goalkeeper was directly involved in Leicester's victory. Had it not been for Schmeichel's two saves from Andy Carroll, Leicester would have lost the game.

West Ham, on 33 points, are aiming to stay in the league this season. This is not a difficult goal, but it also shows the failure of their efforts to improve when they moved to the Olympic Stadium.
