Project code 117N was established to fight and destroy. At 8:00 a.m. on October 24, PC49 suddenly raided the Len Roi quarry area and discovered Mr. Tran Van Thanh (born in 1968, quarry owner) cleaning up the quarry area.
At Mr. Thanh’s private home (500m from the quarry), the task force discovered a plastic bag containing 25 electric detonators and 17 plastic bags, each containing 10 solid ingots, each weighing 2kg. The number of confiscated exhibits was 170 round explosives, weighing 34kg.
Mr. Thanh confessed that he illegally mined stone without any licensing documents from the competent authority. The explosives were bought on the open market to serve the stone mining.
