Schedule of events on August 19 of Vietnamese sports at Asiad 18
On the first official competition day (August 19) at the 18th Asiad, many key athletes of Vietnamese sports took turns to compete.
All attention is focused on swimmers Hoang Quy Phuoc, Nguyen Huy Hoang, tennis player Ly Hoang Nam, and current wushu champion Duong Thuy Vy...

Swimming:Swimmers Hoang Quy Phuoc and Nguyen Huy Hoang started the men's 200m freestyle qualifying round, Le Nguyen Paul competed in the men's 100m backstroke qualifying round, and Ngo Thi Ngoc Quynh competed in the women's 100m breaststroke qualifying round.
Fencing:Fencers Nguyen Phuoc Den and Bui Thi Thu Ha compete in the men's and women's individual three-edged sword competition.
Shooting:Shooters Tran Quoc Cuong - Le Thi Linh Chi; Nguyen Duy Hoang - Awaki Ai compete for a place in the final of the mixed men's and women's 10m air rifle event.
Rowing:Vietnamese rowers competing in the qualifying round: Nguyen Thi Hai (women's singles), Le Thi Hien - Pham Thi Hue (women's doubles), Van Dat - Manh Linh - Le Thang - Huu Thanh (men's lightweight quad boat), Ta Thanh Huyen - Luong Thao - Ho Thi Ly - Pham Thi Thao (women's lightweight quad boat).

Tennis:Four players Ly Hoang Nam (seeded No. 16), Trinh Linh Giang, Savanna Ly Nguyen, and Fodor Csilla compete in the first round of the men's and women's singles. In this round, Hoang Nam will compete with Ahmeh Saai Waheed (Maldives) to advance while Linh Giang will face Bastola (Nepal). Experts say the chances of the men's players advancing are very high.
Free material:Wrestler Nguyen Xuan Dinh (65 kg) meets a Korean opponent, Can Tat Du (74 kg) competes in the qualifying round against a Thai opponent.
Wushu:Four martial artists competed in the finals, Tran Xuan Hiep (Long Boxing); Tran Thi Khanh Ly (Tai Chi); Nguyen Thuy Linh (Southern Boxing); Duong Thuy Vy (Swordsmanship).
In the Sanshou event, Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy (52 kg) and Chu Thi Thuy Hang (60 kg) competed in round 16, Bui Truong Giang (56 kg) competed in round 32.
