Holiday schedule April 30 and May 1, 2017
In 2017, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations and socio-political organizations will have a total of 4 days off for April 30 and May 1.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, holidays in 2017 will not use the form of holiday swapping as in 2015 and 2016.

However, because the April 30 and May 1 holidays overlap with the weekend, according to points c, d, clause 1 and clause 3, article 115 of the 2012 Labor Code, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations and workers working at establishments with a 2-day/week off regime (on Saturday and Sunday every week) will have a total of 4 days off.
Specifically, employees will have 4 consecutive days off from April 29 to May 2, 2017. Of which, April 29 is a weekly day off - Saturday, April 30 and May 1 are official holidays (red box), May 2 is a compensatory day off for April 30 - Sunday (blue box).
Employees working at establishments with a 1-day-off-per-week policy (every Sunday) will have 3 consecutive days off from April 30 to May 2, 2017. Of which, May 2 is a compensatory day off for April 30 - Sunday.
