August 23, 1907:Tuong scriptwriter Dao Tan passed away. He was born in 1845 in Tuy Loc commune, Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh province. His life had many special features: he was governor three times, minister four times, but in the end he was a great artist of Vietnam in the 19th century. He left behind hundreds of poems and verses, 30 plays, many of which were exemplary, some were 10 acts long, performed up to 100 nights, and "Hi truong tuy but" is a very valuable collection of theater theory. Binh Dinh province has a Tuong theater named after Dao Tan.

August 23, 1911:Poet But Tre's real name is Dang Van Dang. He was born in Dong Luong commune, Song Thao, Phu Tho. Before the revolution, he taught in Tuyen Quang. In June 1946, he was honored to join the ranks of the communists. In 1947, he worked for the Liberation newspaper in Zone X. In 1956, he returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Secretary to Deputy Minister Ung Van Khiem. In 1960, he returned to his hometown to work as Head of the Information Department of the Provincial Administrative Committee, then he was in charge of Phu Tho Newspaper. In 1962, he was appointed Head of the Phu Tho Cultural Department and in 1968, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department. But Tre died on May 18, 1987.
