WORLD CUP 2014 TOURNAMENT FORMAT

- 32 teams, divided into 8 groups, will play a round-robin format to determine the standings.
- Each win earns 3 points, a draw earns 1 point, and a loss earns 0 points.
- The top two teams from each group advance to the Round of 16.
- From the round of 16 onwards, it's a knockout tournament.

In the event that two or more teams are tied on points after the group stage, the following criteria will be used to determine the final ranking:
1. Having the highest goal difference in all matches in the group;
2. Score the most goals in all matches of the group;
3. Earn more points in head-to-head matches;
4. Having a higher goal difference in direct head-to-head matches;
5. Scored more goals in all direct confrontations;
6. The FIFA organizing committee conducts the draw.

- Each team participating in the finals is allowed to register 23 players, including a minimum of 3 goalkeepers. The deadline for submitting the list is 10 days before the start of the tournament. In case of last-minute injuries, teams may change their list no later than 24 hours before the opening match of the tournament.
