National High School Exam Schedule 2018 and Important Dates
The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced that the national high school exam will take place over 3 days, from June 25 to 27, for the purpose of graduation and university entrance exams.
Candidates taking the national high school exam studying the high school program will have to take 5 exams, including 3 independent exams: Math, Literature, Foreign Language. The two combined exams are Natural Science (a combination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and Social Science (a combination of History, Geography, Civic Education).
Students studying the Continuing Education program are required to take three compulsory exams: Math, Literature and one of two subjects: Natural Science or Social Science.

Literature will be an essay test lasting 120 minutes, the remaining tests will be multiple choice. The Math test will last 90 minutes, and the Foreign Language test will last 60 minutes.
The combined exams have a total time of 150 minutes, each component subject in the exam has a time of 50 minutes.
Some important milestones:
Complete the comparison of exam results no later than July 11. The examination board will announce and notify candidates of the results on July 11.
No later than July 15, the Departments of Education and Training must update the list of candidates recognized as high school graduates into the exam management software; at the same time, send a summary of preliminary high school graduation recognition results according to the prescribed form in the exam management software via the prescribed email address.
Announce the results of high school graduation recognition no later than July 17.
No later than July 31, the Departments of Education and Training must update the summary table of official high school graduation recognition results into the exam management software and send it to the specified email address; and at the same time send it by post to the Department of Quality Management.
No later than August 5, the Departments of Education and Training will send the list of candidates officially recognized as high school graduates to the Office of the Ministry of Education and Training.
