Nghe An Football Federation officially established

Currently, Nghe An is one of the localities with a strongly developing football movement, a sport with the highest demand for training and competition and an indispensable spiritual food for the people of Nghe An. In particular, Song Lam Nghe An Football Club has a tradition of development for more than 40 years, is the pride of the people of Nghe An. Besides, in the localities, many clubs have been formed, the football field system has developed diversely, attracting thousands of people to practice and compete. Therefore, the establishment of Nghe An Football Federation satisfies the aspirations and practical needs of the majority of people of Nghe An.

Nghe An Football Federation was established with the task of coordinating with professional agencies to disseminate knowledge and methods of training and competing in football; coordinating to guide the management and organization of the selection and training of talented athletes and high-performance athletes in sports under the federation. Developing professional standards for sports facilities operating in football and professional standards for athletes, coaches, and professional staff in sports managed by the federation, submitting them to competent authorities for approval; developing cooperation plans on training, sports competitions, training, fostering officials, referees, coaches, and exchanging and organizing sports competitions, submitting them to competent authorities for approval and implementation.

With that meaning and mission, on September 14, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2895/QD-UBND on allowing the establishment of Nghe An Provincial Football Federation. The Federation operates in Nghe An and is a social-professional organization. Nghe An Football Federation has legal status, its own seal, account, and self-guaranteeing funding, headquarters, and means of operation.

The First Congress of Nghe An Football Federation is expected to take place next October.
