North Central Geological Federation received the Second Class Labor Medal
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 26, in Vinh City, the North Central Geological Federation held a ceremony to celebrate its 40th anniversary and receive the Second Class Labor Medal.
Attending the event were comrades: Pham Khoi Nguyen - Former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Natural Resources and Environment; Do Canh Duong - General Director of the General Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam. On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Established in 1975, the North Central Geological Federation (Federation) has split and merged with many different names due to the requirements of the political tasks of each period. After 40 years of construction and development, the unit has carried out and participated in the work of geological mapping and mineral exploration of more than 34 thousand km2 , accounting for about 65% of the North Central region.
The unit has completed and submitted 280 geological reports of all kinds, with high progress and quality; discovered nearly 1,000 mines and mineral sites of all kinds, half of which have been evaluated and explored at different levels, contributing to the development of the mining industry.

With these achievements, the unit has been awarded by the State with the Labor Medals of the first, second and third classes; the Independence Medal of the third class; and many excellent emulation flags of the Government and central ministries and branches.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrades Do Canh Duong - General Director of the General Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam, Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee congratulated the achievements of the North Central Geological Federation over the past 40 years, and highly appreciated the contributions of the Federation to the development of Nghe An province. In the coming time, promoting the achieved results, the Federation will continue to focus on performing well its tasks and expertise, contributing to the development of the region and the whole country.

On this occasion, the North Central Geological Federation was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal by the President for its outstanding achievements in the period 2010 - 2014; Nghe An Provincial People's Committee presented a banner with the inscription: "North Central Geological Federation: 40 years of construction and growth".
