The Union of Friendship Organizations of Nghe An province signed an agreement to coordinate people-to-people diplomacy activities with northern provinces and cities.
(Baonghean.vn) - From April 1 to 3, within the framework of activities towards the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, the Signing Ceremony of the program of coordinating people's foreign affairs activities of Cluster No. 1 in 2024 between the Union of Friendship Organizations of Northern Provinces and Cities took place in Dien Bien province.
Nghe An delegation was led by comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations.
Cluster 1 includes the Union of Friendship Organizations from the following localities: Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh.
Localities have agreed on the Program for coordinating people-to-people diplomacy activities in 2024 with the following contents: Strengthening the coordination relationship, creating close ties between the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Union of local friendship organizations, between members of the Cluster; promoting emulation and reward movements among members of the Cluster and contributing to the common movement of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; Coordinating the implementation of organizing peace, solidarity, friendship activities, expanding foreign information activities, strengthening the work of mobilizing foreign non-governmental aid, building and developing organizations, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy work of the Cluster.
The conference also requested units to coordinate in propagating to cadres, civil servants and public employees the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; the new Directive on people's foreign affairs and well performing the political tasks of the unit; doing well the information and propaganda work, raising awareness among all classes of people, especially with international friends about the achievements of the country in the period of industrialization and modernization; widely propagating the Directives, Resolutions, policies of the Party and State on foreign affairs in general and people's foreign affairs activities in particular. Continue to implement the Central Resolution 4 (term XII, XIII) on "strengthening Party building and rectification, preventing and repelling the degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party" in conjunction with continuing to promote "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; effectively carry out emulation movements and campaigns; Step up propaganda, mobilization and implementation of Conclusion No. 12-KL/TW dated August 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Work with overseas Vietnamese in the new situation"; Directive No. 12-CT/TW dated January 5, 2022 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership, improving the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy in the new situation" and the Party and State's guidelines and policies on foreign affairs and people-to-people diplomacy Directive No. 25-CT/TW dated August 8, 2018 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Promoting and elevating multilateral diplomacy to 2030"...
Localities also reached high consensus on implementation measures and signed a commitment to action in 2024.
