Within the framework of the 2nd National Professional Music and Dance Festival - 2012 (taking place in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province), on the evening of August 13, the public enjoyed 20 performances by the 2 youngest art troupes out of 32 troupes nationwide participating in the festival.
The Luu Huu Phuoc Song and Dance Troupe from Tay Do Theater, Can Tho Province (just turned 5 years old) brought to the festival a special art program with the theme "Love Song", expressing the cultural characteristics of the Tay Do river region with 4 typical ethnic groups: Kinh, Hoa, Cham and Khmer. Mr. Nguyen Hung Cuong, Deputy Director - Head of the troupe said: "Our troupe is the youngest in this festival.
The first time attending the festival, I was scared but very excited. With the theme "Love Song", Can Tho has a very clear message, that the people of Can Tho are very generous, the four ethnic groups live in harmony. And we hope that our contribution through the festival does not mean placing too much emphasis on achievements".
Coming to the Central Highlands this time, the Vinh Phuc Province Music and Dance Art Troupe (established in 2005) brought to the audience of Buon Ma Thuot city to enjoy "Countryside Painting" according to the troupe's theme, through 2 parts "sacred soul of mountains and rivers" and "homeland painting", vividly expressing the colorful cultural life of the Northern midlands and the history of formation and development of the beautiful homeland of Vinh Phuc./.
