UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said Secretary-General Guterres was deeply concerned by the US President's decision.
“The Secretary-General has repeatedly reaffirmed that the Iran nuclear deal represents a major achievement in nuclear non-proliferation and diplomacy. It also contributes to regional and international peace and security,” the spokesperson said.
It is essential that all concerns related to the implementation of the Iran nuclear deal be addressed through the terms of the deal. Issues not directly related to the Iran nuclear deal should be resolved without jeopardizing the preservation of the deal and its implementation.”
