Speaking in the Ukrainian parliament, the head of the Popular Front party Maksym Burbak announced that he was leaving the ruling coalition, ceasing its activities and proposing the formation of a new coalition with a new agenda. The Ukrainian parliament has 1 month to form a new coalition or the president will have the right to dissolve the parliament and call early elections.
President-elect Volodymyr Zelenskiy won a landslide victory in Ukraine’s presidential election last month, but his newly formed Servant of the People party lacks representation in parliament. Analysts say an early election is likely to benefit Zelenskiy because his popularity is high, giving his party a chance to win the election./.
