Speaking to VnExpress on the morning of June 26, Mr. Duong Cong Minh - Chairman of LienVietPostBank confirmed that there is this priority recruitment. However, Mr. Minh said that the bank only prioritizes recruiting children from poor districts, in remote provinces to work as cashiers for the bank.
"This preferential recruitment round is only for 62 children, with priority given to children from poor rural areas who do not have the opportunity to work as a cashier, a position that high school graduates can also do. However, priority cases must have graduated from college or higher," said Mr. Minh.
LienVietPostBank leaders also said that recruitment for other positions is considered normally, done by human resources, without priority. This person also added that since the priority recruitment was posted, no cases have been accepted so far and there will be no other priority programs in the near future.
LienVietPostBank has also just been licensed by the State Bank to open a series of new branches and transaction offices, concentrated in remote provinces such as Phu Yen, Hung Yen, Tay Ninh, Ha Tinh, Lai Chau, Son La and Binh Dinh. To date, this is also the first joint stock bank to have a network of transaction offices covering the district and commune levels thanks to the conversion and upgrading of post offices.
Before Lien Viet Post Bank, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) also attracted public attention when it announced that it would prioritize recruiting children in the industry. Accordingly, the biological children, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law or adopted children of Agribank officials will be given priority with an additional 30% of the score in the upcoming recruitment round according to the official announcement on the website.
After receiving public backlash, the Agribank Board of Members held an emergency meeting and decided to stop adding points to children in the family.
