Recklessly stealing motorbikes from hospitals and commune headquarters in broad daylight
(Baonghean.vn) - Phu repeatedly sneaked into hospitals, commune People's Committee offices, and markets in Yen Thanh district to steal motorbikes from people who came to do business or get medical examinations, then repainted the motorbikes, changed accessories, and sold them.
On April 21, Yen Thanh District Police announced that they had just prosecuted Phan Van Phu (born in 1985, originally from Khanh Thanh Commune and currently residing in Dong Hoa Hamlet, Dong Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh) for theft of property.

Previously, on March 30, at Vien market area in Tang Thanh commune, taking advantage of the negligence of people going to the market, Phu stole a motorbike with license plate 37P1 – 37069.
While he was driving the motorbike away, the owner of the motorbike discovered him and shouted for help, so Phu let go of the motorbike and ran away. Knowing he could not escape the crime, on April 16, Phu went to the Yen Thanh District Police to surrender.
At the investigation agency, Phu confessed that in addition to the above failed stolen motorbike, Phu had committed many other thefts, taking away 3 motorbikes. On November 17, 2016, Phu broke into Yen Thanh District General Hospital and stole a motorbike with license plate 37P5 – 1224. On March 18, Phu stole a motorbike with license plate 37P1 – 63462.
Most recently, at around 11:00 a.m. on March 30, Phu entered the People's Committee of Dong Thanh commune and stole a motorbike with license plate 37P1 - 29364 from a resident when he came to do a transaction.

Phu confessed that after stealing the cars, he changed the plastic parts, repainted them, and sold them for money. According to the valuation council, the total value of the cars Phu stole was 47.1 million VND.
Currently, Yen Thanh District Police have seized 3 motorbikes that Phu stole and are completing procedures to return them to the victims.
