Daring to grow marijuana in a karaoke bar
Police continuously discover and arrest cases of marijuana cultivation at people's residences and karaoke bars.
On the morning of August 13, Pleiku City Police (Gia Lai) are handling the case of Mr. Pham Quoc Viet (born in 1983) and Mr. Kieu Duy Dung (born in 1985, both residing in Pleiku City) for illegally growing marijuana.
Earlier, at noon on August 12, Pleiku City Police discovered and seized 15 marijuana plants in Mr. Pham Quoc Viet’s garden. Mr. Viet confessed that he grew the marijuana to dry and use.

On the same day, when conducting an administrative inspection of the Anh Duong karaoke bar (353 Pham Van Dong Street, Pleiku City), the Pleiku City Police also discovered 10 marijuana plants growing in the garden of the bar. Initial inspection determined that the marijuana was grown by Mr. Kieu Duy Dung, an employee of the bar. Mr. Kieu Duy Dung stated that he grew the marijuana for personal use.
