(Baonghean) - On the afternoon of January 26, the 12th National Party Congress announced the list of 200 comrades elected as members of the 12th Central Committee, including comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. PV:Congratulations to the Provincial Party Secretary and Provincial People's Council Chairman for being elected by the Congress to the 12th Central Committee. Could you please give us a quick update on the results of the 12th Party Congress so far?

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc:The 12th Congress has two more days to close, but it has been basically very successful. This afternoon, the Congress voted on four basic issues regarding the contents of the Congress documents. That is, the Congress has completed the contribution of opinions to the draft documents and completed the personnel work. In the personnel issue, the Congress nominated 220 comrades to elect 180 official Executive Committee members; regarding alternate members, 26 comrades were nominated, and 20 alternate members were elected. The election results were very concentrated, the election process was extremely democratic, objective, complete and strict.

PV:Can you give your opinion on the quality of the 12th Central Committee that was just elected by the Congress?

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc:The 12th Central Executive Committee was fully elected according to the Central Committee's standards. The team is youthful, the comrades have gone through the grassroots, have been trained systematically, have practical experience and are capable. The 12th Central Executive Committee represents the intelligence, capacity and moral qualities of communists to lead the country to strive for the goal of prosperity and civilization.

PV:How did the Nghe An provincial delegation contribute to the spirit, goals and success of the 12th Party Congress, and how did they absorb that spirit to effectively realize the great goals in Nghe An's practice, comrade?

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc:Nghe An delegation is the 4th largest delegation in the country compared to other localities. Our province's delegation is not only large in quantity but also has high quality delegates with a very high sense of responsibility, representing the trust of the Party Committee and the people of the province in the Congress. We have fulfilled our responsibility to the Congress in contributing documents and content of the Congress. It can be said that Nghe An delegation's intellectual contribution to the Congress is very large.

The goal of the 12th Congress is to build our country into a basically modern industrialized country and improve the material and spiritual living standards of the people; resolutely and persistently protect the Fatherland, protect the country, protect the people, carry out deep integration into the world economy and develop the country according to the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, equality and civilization. As for Nghe An province, after the Congress, it will build an action program to implement the Congress Resolution, striving to develop into a well-off province in the Northern region by 2020.
