The sacred commemoration of Hung Vuong's death anniversary on March 10th.
(Baonghean.vn) -In keeping with the nationwide atmosphere of commemorating the Hung Kings' anniversary, this morning, April 19th (corresponding to the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month), the Hung Kings' Ancestral Commemoration Ceremony 2013 was solemnly held at the Hong Son Temple historical and cultural site in Vinh City. Attending the ceremony were representatives from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, leaders of the Vinh City People's Committee, representatives from the city's wards and communes, and a large number of local people and tourists from all over.
With the aim of commemorating the nation-building and nation-preserving contributions of the Hung Kings, the Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony is an opportunity to educate the younger generation about patriotic traditions and preserve and promote the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people, embodying the principle of "a tree has roots, a person has ancestry." This year's Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony was organized into two main parts: the ceremonial part included a notice ceremony, a rally to remember the Hung Kings, a grand sacrifice, and a thanksgiving ceremony; the festive part featured lively sports activities such as stick pushing and tug-of-war, attracting a large number of people from Hong Son ward to participate.
