The exhibition of documents on Vietnamese mascots at Nghe An Museum is one of the practical activities to implement the policy of saying no to foreign mascots.

The Nghe is a sacred animal that has long appeared in Vietnamese culture. The Nghe is carved on stone steles, worship objects, carved on architecture, painted, and placed in front of the gates and doors of religious and belief buildings such as communal houses, temples, pagodas, shrines, etc. It can be said that the image of the Nghe is very close to the life of the Vietnamese community.

However, over time, Nghe seems to have been forgotten, replaced by Vietnamese mascots with "foreign" symbols, not suitable for Vietnamese culture. Notably, many of us mistake these foreign, unsuitable mascots for Vietnamese mascots.
