Summary of the movie Evil Mother, Angel Father episode 2
At the beginning of episode 2 of Mother Devil, Father Angel, Kim Ngan (played by Kha Nhu) - Thang's sister-in-law - returns home and is happily welcomed by the whole family. Ngan brings back many gifts, including children's makeup sets and gold for Tram Anh (played by little Ngan Chi) to put in the pink piggy bank. However, Thang does not agree with giving makeup and material things like gold to children. However, the whole family opposes Thang's opinion.
Kim Ngan and Tat Thang were close friends before, so when they were alone, they did not call each other "sister" - "em" but comfortably called each other "you" - "I" like in the old days. During the conversation, Thang expressed his concern about educating Tram Anh when she was about to enter first grade and thought that his mother-in-law's teaching method was not good. Ngan immediately asked: "Look at me and Loc, is there anyone who is not good?"

Just as the two sisters were talking, Thang's mother-in-law walked in and blamed: "The daughter refuses to get married, and the daughter-in-law refuses to have more children."
Thang immediately "retorted": "I won't have another child because Tram Anh alone has too many things to worry about."
Ngan immediately advised Thang not to argue with his mother-in-law and told the story of how she took care of Thang when she gave birth to Tram Anh, to prove that her mother-in-law loved her daughter-in-law very much.
Although he had never attended a class reunion before, Thang decided to attend this time when he heard that Huy (played by Luong Manh Hai) - his old classmate - was now the vice principal of a national-standard primary school. After that, she made a plan to prepare Tram Anh for first grade, emphasizing to her husband: "From now until September, we must carry out this plan."

Thang wanted his daughter to grow up to be a strong woman, successful and independent in life. However, Loc objected because he just wanted his daughter to be happy. When Thang decided to take Tram Anh to live with him, Loc was worried that this would shock his daughter and make her grandparents sad. However, Thang was still determined: "There is no reason. I will bring Tram Anh here."
The next day, Thang went to his parents-in-law’s house to pack up his daughter’s things, despite his mother-in-law’s warnings. When he went to school to pick up Tram Anh, the teacher said that her grandmother had picked her up and revealed that she had not seen Thang in the past year. When they returned home, Thang and Loc discovered that the gate of his parents-in-law’s house was locked.
The couple was about to climb over the gate when the grandparents forced them to open it. The mother-in-law cried and said: “I am very angry at your sudden decision. I love you, and now I cannot bear to be away from you.”
Thang explained: "I want to take Tram Anh home to teach her because she is about to enter first grade but is behind her friends."
However, her mother-in-law objected: "I just want you to be healthy and happy, you don't need to win against anyone." In the end, she agreed to let Thang and his wife take Tram Anh home.
Thang started teaching his daughter to be independent, but he was not gentle and considerate. He forced Tram Anh to brush her teeth, causing her to scream in protest. Meanwhile, Loc used a gentler approach, brushing her teeth with her, making her cooperate happily.

Even though they had picked up their grandchild, the grandparents still missed her so much that they stayed in her room. That night, the grandfather slept in Tram Anh’s room, while the grandmother tossed and turned all night without sleeping. To calm the grandparents, Loc used chocolate to coax Tram Anh to say comforting words to them like: “Dear Mom, I’m very happy to be with Mom and Dad.”

The next morning, Thang set the alarm for 6am to get Tram Anh up to go jogging, but the child fell and scratched her leg. When she got home, she hurried to work and told her husband to take the child to school. Tram Anh whined and didn’t want to go to school, demanding to go back to her pink princess room at her grandparents’ house.

Seeing that, Loc decided to take a day off work to take his daughter shopping to decorate her room in pink as Tram Anh wanted.

The movie "Evil Mother, Angel Father" is a story revolving around family issues and child education, with the participation of Minh Hang in the role of Tat Thang, the wife of Tan Loc (Huy Anh).
Their family life is difficult when their daughter Tram Anh (Ngan Chi) is stubborn and does not like to study. Tat Thang, with the desire for his daughter to study well and go to a good school, applies a strict educational method, but this makes the relationship between husband and wife and mother and daughter become tense.
The appearance of Gia Han (Jun Vu), Tan Loc's ex-lover, further complicated the situation as it pushed Tat Thang to decide to divorce her husband, whom she considered weak.
Meanwhile, Tram Anh witnessed family conflicts and decided to leave home, causing her family to panic.
The movie "Evil Mother, Angel Father" is not only a story about the stress in raising children but also lessons about family relationships, especially how to face difficulties in raising children.
Director Vu Ngoc Dang was inspired by the book Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother to create this story, reflecting situations that viewers can easily recognize in real life, thereby sending messages about family affection, misunderstandings, and challenges in marriage.
