Liverpool lose points in 'familiar' way against Newcastle
Coutinho continued to score great goals but Liverpool's careless defense made them pay the price with a 1-1 draw in round 7 of the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp's side travelled to St James' Park with a top-four finish on the line, having seen Chelsea lose to Manchester City on Saturday. The German made a few changes in attack, with Firmino surprisingly benched for Daniel Sturridge. But the Port City side's fiery style of play remained intact. They controlled the game and attacked aggressively, trying to win the ball back as soon as they lost it.
After a few chances passed by the red shirt strikers, Liverpool finally opened the score after the first half hour of play. The beautiful goal was scored by a familiar name - Philippe Coutinho. Receiving the ball on the left wing, the Brazilian midfielder pushed the ball into the middle, eliminated Matt Ritchie and then fired a cannon with the inside of his foot into the dangerous corner.from a distance of about 30 meters.
Goalkeeper Rob Elliot could have done better, but Coutinho's strike was a masterstroke. It was even more of a spectacle than his curling free-kick against Leicester City last weekend.

Liverpool did not slow down their attack after taking the advantage. However, they only led for six minutes, before losing in true “Liverpool style”. The central defenders Matip and Lovren forgot to mark Joselu, even though the home team was on the counter-attack.
From a pass from Jonjo Shelvey - former Liverpool player, Joselu escaped.Former Real Madrid strikerslow handling for Matip to rush back and tackle. But the ball hit Joselu's foot and changed direction, defeating goalkeeper Simon Mignolet. Two Liverpool defenders collapsed because they once again received a bitter goal. Leading with convincing play, losing points because of a careless goal is a familiar scenario for them in recent years.

The 18-time English champions tried to rebuild from scratch. Six minutes after the break, Sturridge went one-on-one with the goalkeeper after centre-back Ciaran Clark made a mistake, but his kneeElliot prevented the ball from entering the net.. Outside the field, coach Klopp turned around and walked away, clearly showing his despair. In the 74th minute, the German strategist began to change when he brought Firmino and Dominic Solanke onto the field. But Liverpool could no longer maintain the pressure in the last 15 minutes and had to accept a draw.
The draw saw Liverpool drop two places to seventh, as Burnley and Arsenal both had important wins over Everton and Brighton, respectively, on the same day.
