Sky SportsIvan Gazidis has stressed consistency and keeping Arsenal tradition in his search for Arsene Wenger's replacement, according to reports. The Arsenal chief executive has high praise for Mikel Arteta, the former Arsenal captain, despite Pep Guardiola's assistant having no coaching experience.

Gazidis' views were expressed at a meeting with 200 Arsenal staff on April 23. He consulted with owner Stan Kroenke, and announced that the search for a replacement for Arsene Wenger from the 2018-2019 season had been activated.

Arteta spent five years at Arsenal, and was appointed captain by Wenger for his final two seasons at the Emirates. The former Spaniard joined City's coaching staff, along with Brian Kidd and Domenec Torrent, in the summer of 2016, when Guardiola arrived at the Etihad.

MU reserved shirt number 10 for Bale

Spanish source Don Balon asserts that the number 10 shirt of MU that Ibrahimovic just left behind will be named Bale next season.

The Spanish goalkeeper's contract with the Red Devils will expire next summer and of course Mourinho does not want to lose this important pillar. For that reason, MU wants De Gea to be happy, by treating him properly, compared to the 200,000 pounds/week he is currently receiving.
