Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2018 photos leaked before launch date

Although Toyota plans to unveil the new Land Cruiser Prado in the next few days at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, it has been spotted in real life in a dealership parking lot.

The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is currently in its fourth generation, first launched in 2009. The car is considered another version of the Lexus GX, inheriting the full-time 4-wheel drive system, anti-slip differential sensor and electronic differential lock. In the 2018 version, the car "borrowed" a bit of the rugged, off-road style from its predecessor.

From the front grille design, headlight design and rear bumper reshaping, it is undeniable that the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2018 has not changed much compared to the previous generation. In addition, the car also has LED daytime running lights and angular fog lights to help the car's appearance look more impressive.

However, the changes are on the inside. The interior of the 2018 Land Cruiser Prado is different with the highlight being the 4-spoke steering wheel inspired by the Land Cruiser 200. In addition, the center console is more neat and the infotainment is updated.

Safety features also updated by the company on the Prado 2018 include forward collision warning system, lane change warning, pedestrian warning, departure assist, radar cruise control system and a series of other support features.

Engine details have yet to be revealed, but it is rumored that Toyota will use the same engines as the new J150 Prado. Depending on the market, the J150 Prado will be powered by either a petrol or diesel engine. The car may be equipped with the 2.4-liter 2GD-FTV diesel engine currently found on the Innova, Fortuner, and Hilux.

Toyota is expected to launch the 2018 Land Cruiser Prado in the Japanese market in September this year.
